How are you doing? How are you holding up? Silly questions, I know. Let me rephrase. How are you doing through all of this? How are you holding it all together right now?
Having your baby spend time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is an emotional roller coaster that you didn’t ask to be on. Your baby’s NICU stay can be filled with exciting highs, sudden downs, unexpected turns, and sometimes lulls where you find yourself anxiously awaiting good news, but fearing the worst.
As a mama of two preemies, born at 30 weeks and 26 weeks, both had lengthy NICU stays but each of my babies had very different ‘roller coaster’ rides. I started this blog to help preemie and NICU mamas find comfort and support, using my experiences from both of my preemies as a guide. Though you and your baby’s NICU journey is unique, you are not alone.
